1. With the exception of the semi-gloss covered L series and some Non-Series issues, the covers were printed on the same type of paper as the comic pages. The comic content ran from the inside front cover through to and including the back cover, except on occasions when a full page advertisement was located on the back cover, such advertisements were usually for Postage Stamps, Corgi toy cars, or a USA pen pal service etc. however more often than not there was no advert. At the bottom of page 3 the famous quote "Disney comics are good comics" was always printed beneath the bottom row of panels.
2. W.G. stands for Walter Granger.
3. There is no G95 issue, thought to be due to a printers strike at the time that killed the issue on the press.
4. There are two different cover scans of J36 because it is a double sided issue, it's effectably an M and a D series comic printed back to back and the opposite way up to each other, a rather unusual comic.
5. Some issues have a row of little US, DD and HDL heads running across the bottoms of some of the inside pages, this indicates that the story has been translated into English, usually from Italian.
6. W.G.Publications and Wogan Publications had a combined output of 1929 issues.
7. MM and DD series issues were printed one issue every two months and the two series leapfrogged each other, MM1 was the first issue of the two series published followed by DD1 the following month, then MM2 the month after that and so on. MM24 was the last issue of the two series printed, which explains why there are 22 DD series issues and 24 MM series issues.
